Carrie Leslie

Carrie Leslie  has been dancing for over eighteen years. She was born in Corvallis, Oregon; then lived in Bangor, Maine; and then grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma where she studied jazz and tap dance for eight years at Patricia Anne's School of Dance and ballet for three years with Michelle Grogan. She studied Modern Dance and majored in Cultural Anthropology at Centre College in Danville, KY and received her master's degree in International Peace and Development Studies from the Bancaja Center for Peace and Development Studies in Castellon, Spain. Carrie has traveled extensively throughout Ecuador, Peru, Nicaragua, Cuba, Mexico, Spain, Portugal and France and brings her global experiences to her choreography. She has choreographed several performance pieces including collaboration with artists in slam poetry, poi, and masks.  She is in love with movement.
