Ada Hunter

I am a singer, designer, writer and social entrepreneur. Trained in classical music and opera, my love of music defies boundaries, and my rather eclectic repertoire includes sacred music of all genres, jazz, musical theatre, cabaret, classical cross-over…with an occasional opera aria on the side. I recently graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Master of Arts in Religion and am particularly concerned with faith-based responses to environmental issues and promoting inter-religious dialog.

Several years ago, I realized the path I’d had in mind – that of a career on the operatic stage – was not for me. As life changes inevitably shake us up, I decided I wanted to experience the therapeutic effects of some hands-on art – something visual rather than auditory – and I have always been drawn to natural stones. Thus, an adventure in beaded jewelry began - I felt completely inspired while designing with beads and it morphed into an expression that was ready to be shared with others.

My mother, Susan Rice-Hunter, is a life-long artist, potter, and designer – she’s also my best friend - so it was completely natural that we would team up to create a new artistic venture we named Touch of Stardust. We developed an online store featuring my jewelry designs, some of Mom’s gorgeous pottery creations, and we have a long list of creations we’ll be adding, including metal clay creations and the work of my two other best friends – my husband and my father.

My journey is about inspiration, transformation, and purpose – and I’d love to be part of yours as well.

Blessings,
Ada
