Ken Elliott

I've lived in Norman for about 20 years, living in Moore, Oklahoma City, and Midwest City prior to that. I have worked for Hitachi Computer Products over the past 22 years. I am married to my beautiful wife of 22 years, Amy. We have 2 outstanding sons, Kendall, 20, and Kyle, 16. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies from The University of Oklahoma.

These 3 pieces represent a foray into stippling with colored pens. "Kendall" is a depiction of my son Kendall in action for his soccer club team Padova 89 Navy. "Kyle" is a depiction of my son Kyle in action for his soccer club team Celtic 92 Black. The third piece was an attempt to bring in the background for an action shot of Steven Gerrard of Liverpool Football Club as he was about to strike the ball in a game against Chelsea Football Club and its player Frank Lampard. I am not pleased with the background, and not terribly pleased with the figures. My biggest challenge is finding pens in flesh tones with small nibs. I prefer something in an 05 or 04, but there simply are none available that I can find in lightly colored flesh tones, so I've had to resort to larger nibs, which make the stipple marks too large. The other colors turn out fairly well, though.

I look forward to a time when my main focus for a day is working on my artwork...
