Kelie Myers

Kelie Myers a native Oklahoman paints primary in oil but also works in
mixed media and printmaking processes. She is currently working on a
series of emotional and atmospheric landscapes in oil as well as two
series of creatively free, mixed media abstract works. She began painting
nearly a decade ago after landing in her first art class by accident. She
fell in love with art and the process and has since studied under such
fine artists as Lance Hunter, Bobby C. Martin, Rick McClure, Robert Lewis,
Jean Richardson & Dan Weldon. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts fine
art emphasis from Northeastern State University, December of 2004.

Although very diverse at times, Kelie's paintings and prints have a sense
of passion and energy that is unmistakable stylistic to her work. She
enjoys experimenting with mediums and a new approach to the traditional.
"The sense of verve that overwhelms me as I walk into my studio or start a
new work is the driving force behind why I do what I do. I never limit
myself, I simply let the energy take over and a painting emerges. I feel
so blessed to have been lead into being exactly what I'm supposed to be,
as an artist I can breathe."
