Rick & Tracey Bewley

Rick Bewley spent his youth in San Diego, California, though he has lived in Oklahoma most of his life. After graduating from Moore High School in 1976, Rick began developing his skills in carpentry and acrylic fabrication. In the 80s, he owned and operated an acrylic fabrication company. In 1988, he started to work for MTM (Midwest Trophy Manufacturing Co.) and helped to create their custom material fabrication departments. Rick continues his career at MTM as manager of their custom fabrication & decoration building and is also doing research and development for new processes and production equipment, while also managing a production facility in Mexico. From functional items, such as custom aquariums, to purely creative expressions, such as sculpture, Rick continues to use acrylic and other materials in new directions.

Tracey Bewley a native Oklahoman, attended Oklahoma City University where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Minor in Museum Studies. In 1995, Tracey started her career at MTM (where she met Rick) and currently serves as manager of the Creative Design Department where they design many one-of-a kind designs such as many of the bowl game awards and NASCAR trophies. Over the years, Tracey has explored different artistic mediums, such as illustrating, painting, sculpting, stained glass and now fused glass mixed with other materials.

Partnering Beyond Marriage - over the last several years, the Bewley's primary artistic collaboration has been house restoration, specifically, restoring their 1930s International style home. Their most current renovation project is the creation of Urban Art, where they share their studio space with Blue Sage Studio and Istvan Gallery in a renovated warehouse in Oklahoma City. They are also in the process of creating a loft living space on the second floor of the warehouse, above their studio.  Though they are still progressing with these projects, their discovery of, and now passion for, fused glass has proven to be an ideal medium for marrying their artistic talents.

Rick and Tracey's fused glass, along with their custom furniture, light sculptures and other artistic expressions, can currently be viewed at the JRB Gallery, Lux - a unique retail outlet, Istvan Gallery and at their own place, Art Fusion Studio, all in Oklahoma City. They have participated in the Paseo Arts Festival, the Girlie Show, and the Arts Festival Oklahoma for the past several years and they have been accepted in many juried art shows such as: EdgeArtNow, Vision Makers, City Arts, and the 12 x 12.
