Where I grew up as a young child, the beauty of nature surrounded me. Most of the images have faded away into fantasy and longing. Pragmatic memories of nature’s elements are seen vaguely or boldly with simple gestures on the canvas. I paint my landscapes for wonder and delight through the use of intense or sentimental colors.
Lately I started to add primitive materials to my work like burlap for texture, wood chips for depth, and different printed letters on rice paper that looks rather figurative and mysterious. I like to work my art through the process of constant discovery. Painting is my inner necessity and elegant coping mechanism…started for personal pleasure.
I finished college with a B.F.A.
I have had three group exhibitions at City Art center and one at IAO.
