Wally Wallenberg

I was born in Oklahoma City and lived here most of my life.

I spent short times in both Austin and Boulder and I believe this peaked my interest in the arts. Around this time I started working in stained glass, as any self-respecting hippy should. I was married and started a career in computers. After 20 years with IBM, I retired and went to work with my wife in the insurance business. I found out that she is MUCH better suited to working with people and a large corporation. After realizing that my next career as a body builder was not going as planned (see above photo) I searched for my niche'. My father was a draftsman and a cabinet maker, so woodworking has always been a passion. My dad taught me to be precise and NEVER color outside the box. So that loud grating noise you hear may be my upbringing colliding with my need to create outside the lines. I find that art provides me with the outlet to be myself in what I create. I am honored to be included in this group of artists, and a great deal overwhelmed. Hopefully my small additions will be worthwhile and I know my love of art and my artistic ability will grow from this experience.
