Cindy Smith

I am so fortunate to be able to paint pictures everyday. I have arrived at the place where I can pursue my painting passions extensively. For more than 30years I worked in factories, the last 27 at General Motors. I have two grown children as does my husband. We are blessed with healthy grandchildren. I have taken classes from Carol Armstrong, who has inspired me and still teaches me so much. A workshop with Gay Faulkenberry was a learning gem.  I enjoy painting the human form with other artists in studio. Painting outside in the summer gives me a connection to nature. Painting from life really excites me. The fast pace and spontaneous gathering and rendering of information are challenges that motivate me. Setting up a still life is excellent practice for life painting and I enjoy the process of arranging, looking for the visual treat.
