Sharon Burchett

References to humanity inform Sharon Burchett’s abstract oeuvre and each work, unless a print or photograph, is a one-of-a-kind original. Typical supports vary from paper to wooden panel and she regularly works in mixed media, including acrylic, enamel, chalk, pastel, and pencil. Burchett has an associates’ degree emphasizing fine art from William Rainey Harper College (Chicago, IL, suburbs) and a master’s degree in art history from the University of Oklahoma.Currently, she is enrolled in art history doctoral work at the University of Oklahoma. Burchett has over 80 works in private collections and has had a number of solo exhibits, with highlights including the Gingko Tree Art Center and the Lightwell Gallery (at the University of Oklahoma School of Art and Art History) in the Norman, OK, area and Schaumburg Township District Library in Illinois.
