Tim Ezell


"The basis for all art is drawing from the figure."

Tim Ezell was born in Illinois to a military family. He moved every four years until his eighteenth birthday when he ran away to sea. He spent five years in the Navy during which time he travelled extensively throughout southeast Asia and Japan.

He began his artistic career as a science fiction and fantasy illustrator and has done work for Vortext Comics and Easyrider's Magazine among others. His work has been shown throughout the U.S. including the Deleware Museum of Art and galleries in the southwest and great plains.

Tim received his BA in fine art at East Central University, studied theatre at the University of Oklahoma, and worked as an apprentice at the Johnson Atelier.

Tim works in stone, metal and paint on canvas. He does occasional printmaking and watercolor as well as drawing in charcoal.
