Cherie Tatge
Cherie Tatge was born in Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Fine Art. After raising two daughters and having a 21 year career in the Juvenile Justice field, she retired to a life of
traveling and painting the beautiful and interesting places she and her
husband visit. They reside in Norman, OK.
Tatge paints with oil scenes she visits in Europe, the US and Canada. She paints landscapes, cityscapes, seascapes, often which include figures going about their lives. Some of her favorite subjects are her grandchildren who are natives of Spain, and who give her ample motivation to travel there.
Tatge also enjoys painting animals and is currently working on a series of burro paintings which are on display along with more of her paintings at The Gallery For the Arts in Claremore, OK. Her paintings can also been seen on her website at www.wolfproductionsagallery.com/id38.html
Tatge has studied with Ken Auster, J. Chris Morel, Gay Faulkenberry and
Carol Armstrong. She paints in the impressionist style in oils, usually on
canvas or linen board.
